File under : Risk Management
I imagine that I've been busy, and that's why I haven't posted all week. Hopefully, this won't become a habit. (I mean, it will, eventually. Just like every other website I've put together.) This is what makes me a crummy bandleader.
I bought a cheap TV back in October. It's been fine, except lately, it just shuts off randomly. At night it's not so bad, but during the day it can be every couple minutes. I don't watch a lot of the tele, but on days like today when I'm lying on the couch because my back hurts too much to do anything else, it would be nice to take in a crummy Saturday afternoon movie. Preferably a Chuck Norris film; perhaps Delta Force 2. I was going to watch some golf, but since the entire Eastern seaboard in getting rained on, they only played for an hour or so before it got dark. So no luck there. I'm settling for an ESPN gamecast of the Sox game. This is why I need satelite radio. I could have had Joe Castiglione tell me about the double play into which Manny Ramirez just grounded.
I think that I spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to figure out a way to evade ending the previous sentence with a preposition. There's a good chance I never learned anything in any English class other than the fact prepositions make poor sentence-enders. I'm not even sure why that it. Much like how I'm not sure when to use "whom". I also tend to use "they" as a gender neutral singular pronoun. I'm fairly certain this is wrong, also.
Kevin Millar just flied out to put him 0-3 on the day opposing Curt Schilling. This makes me quite happy, for some reason.
I don't really celebrate Easter anymore, but it is nice that once a year it's real easy to find bags of Black jelly beans. If you don't like licorice, you might not feel this way. I saw a recent interview with Neil Young where he noted that he's always disappointed when he goes to the movies, because they don't sell Good n Plenty at the snack counters anymore. Needless to say, this made me quite happy. Shortly after this, I went to see a movie here in town at the Hollywood Theatre, an independent restored theater. Well, they do sell Good n Plenty in the lobby there. It's pretty sweet.
It's good to be back...
