Excellent Observations

For those of you diligently following the Presidential Campaign, you may have been disappointed by Barack Obama, and the stances that he's taken within the past few weeks (the FISA capitulation, agreeing with the Supreme Court on the 2nd Amendment case, etc). Many before have said it quite well.. (please visit Glenn Greenwald and Digby's Hullabaloo for some of the more excellent examples) but this post by Markos Moulitsas is quite inspiring (considering, as Glenn puts it, he's intensely Pro-Obama).

As a second comment; the MSM's "outrage" over Wes Clark's statements are complete and utter bullshit. It has been quite clear that most of our Media Super-Stars are basically performing as fluffers for McCain, but can't they read a transcript? Watch a YouTube clip in its entirety? Clearly, Wes Clark was NOT (and that is an emphatic NOT) impaling McCain's Patriotism or War Record.. (but lets remember here, POW aside, who has the fucking 4-stars on his epaulets? Clearly not McSame) but was merely focusing on the fact that McCain's limited experience in commanding, anything. Period.

This whole episode saddens me, mostly because, while I don't ever interact with these types of people, there is a large population out there that receives their only information from Faux-News, CNN, and their Nightly Broadcasts. The same lazy, fat Americans who have nothing more to think about than the narcotics of the Millie Cyrus "outrage", who won fucking American Idol, Sports (even though I like sports), and all the other pop-culture crap that is shoved down their throats.
