Strange Occurrence

I just realized today that this may be the first time that 4 teams with birds as Mascots in the NFL (Cardinals, Eagles, Falcons, Ravens) all made the play offs. If Mike Holmgren remembered how to coach, then perhaps all 5 could have made it in (although, that would mean either Seattle or Arizona winning the wild card, and considering how crappy the teams in the NFC West are, that would be tough)...

Anyone know the last time this happened? (I don't believe it ever happened, since the Cardinals have been bad for so long and the Ravens are relatively new)??

  1. Fortunately, the Cardinals, Seahawks, and Falcons have been bad so long this was quick to look up - 3 avian teams was the previous record. I won't bother to look up whether the Lions, Panthers, Jaguars and Bengals ever co-inhabited January. I already know the answer
