Critical Mass

File under : Coffee Talk

I seem to be sleepwalking through the week. I'm on the disastrous schedule whereby I'm tired all day, crash when I get home around 8, then am wide awake until later than I need to be, which leads to the cycle repeating itself. I was going to craft this post at one o'clock this morning, but then I realized that I never really ate dinner, which is always suggested right before bed. The solution? Clearly, more coffee is the answer. Or Ambien. Possibly both.

I'm having trouble drinking my coffee now, because I have a tiny cold sore just inside the left corner of my mouth. Coffee is simply too hot to drink through a straw, which sucks. So I'll just grimace my way through a cup. Earlier this year, I determined that spilling a cup of coffee in your lap is equally effective at waking you up. Alas, I have no other pants to change into today.

Catch you on the flip side.

I find coffee less effective than massive amounts of cocaine.

  2. I'm thinking about buying a huge vat of cheap trucker's speed that I can just keep in my desk. Coke is too pricey for the aspiring scientician to lean on to get through meetings. Lawrence Taylor I ain't.
