The soccer thing - Well, my chosen squads choked. Oh well. This should be an eminently boring final on Sunday. I'll watch anyways. I see it going to PKs, then, who knows. The Italians probably have money against themselves, so I'd bet on France.

The Iverson thing - Guess it depends on how much the C's would have to give up, right? Does the trade make them an instant contender? Probably not. No one knows whether he and Pierce can really co-exist, though I think they're both at the stage of their careers where they want to win, and would make it work. I love AI between the lines. He's a gamer. But he is a bit of a malcontent. I guess the best case scenario would be - playoffs next year (2nd round) - then flip Ratliff's expiring contract for another star the following year to make the push. I suppose I'd be happier if AI had two years left rather than three. Somehow I don't see it holding together that long. So, let's see how the kids look in summer league starting tomorrow, then have a better idea. I can't see Philly moving him within the division. Still pushing for JO, but Bird says he won't trade him.

The Tequila thing - Haven't tried it yet, but even I have noticed the ad campaign for Josè Cuervo Black. Tequila with Coke and Lime? Come on now, I've been drinking that for what, 8 years now? I stopped ordering it in bars after being tired of the puzzled looks from bartenders. Now I'll never order it again. Black is labeled as a "100% Anejo" Tequila. That's right, it's not 100% de Agave. Which means it's still not real tequila. Is there really a shortage of Agave plants? I think not. Let's not discuss their "Flavored" tequilas.

The Black thing - Blak, actually. As in Coke Blak. I found some, finally. At a Target. Coffee flavored cola. It's awful. Goes ok with Canadian whiskey. Will not be purchased again.

The weather thing - Yeah, I complain about the rain, but days like today make it all worth while. Winter pays for summer indeed.
