I've been engaged with some good natured trash-talking with my friend and coworker Larry, who's a Laker fan, over the last week now. Text messages of "That's One" and "That's Two" after celtic victories have gone unreturned, typically followed by him bellowing "Don't even TALK to me, bro" the next morning in the lab.
Somehow his (anticipated) "2 to 1" message after game 3 wasn't so intimidating. Despite the loss, I was still pretty fired up about the C's chances. I do think they have the better team, and don't think the O can play much worse than they did on Tuesday. An "all tied up" message tonight would have to make me reconsider.
It's tough to have any real insight into tonight's game with out knowing (for real) the health and well-being of Rondo, Perk, Pierce and KG. Not surprisingly, there seems to be considerably less written about game four strategies. Both teams know what to do at this point.
Pierce and KG have to play better. Period.
Doc needs to use Leon more (one theory thrown out about his lack of pt in game 3 was that it was clear he wasn't getting ANY fouls called against him)
I'm willing to see TA get a few reps if Rondo needs his minutes cut. SHORT LEASH. Then to House. They can't let Kobe sag and double team on D.
Perk had an under-appreciated game 3. If he snags a double-double tonight, that would be huge.
All in all, I feel pretty confident, and would be pretty disappointed if Boston lost tonight. They still get another shot (sunday) to steal one in LA, but if they go up 3-1 tonight, I'll be picking up a case of the Hoyo de Monterrey's before game 5.
